Hello everyone, I’m new in here. Just wondering how did you guys sent your file 130 package? My Husband will file the petition next week and we can appreciate some advice on the best way to prepare the file 130 package? Thank you! On additional questions, Does anyone have idea about the history address for the past 5 years? Cus I was overseas for few months around 3 years ago, and my Husband stayed here in Philippines for almost 4 months. Do we need to include those months in our history address?

I would include ANY address.

As for how to organize the I130 packet well it depends on how you want to organize it. What I did is I typed up a cover letter (Saying: My name is ________ Enclosed, please find the following documents) I made bullet points ( - My husband's birth certificate. - My passport.. and so on) and the way I wrote the cover letter it's how I organized it.

HOWEVER, the money order I made sure was the first thing they'd see

Regarding the addresses, if you were just visiting the country on an extended vacation and maintained your residence in your home country then you do not need to include the overseas address. But if you worked, studied, lived, had a bank account, assumed residency, got a driver's license, etc in another country or it became your main residence then you need to include the address.

Thank you for the advice. Much appreciated! I think I’ve seen few example of cover letters too. We’re almost done with the stuff we need to start the petition. Just making sure we do the right thing.

This is really helpful. I’ve been wondering about it. Because I was just on extended vacation for like almost 5 months overseas. And my Husband was thinking the same thing too if he needs to put our address when he stayed here for almost 4 months.
