Appeals. How Long, Case Was Reopened for Reconsideration we reopened your Form I-290B

Just had this pop up on My case Status.

 

Case Was Reopened For Reconsideration

On January 23, 2018, we reopened your Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal to the Commissioner, Receipt Number WAC110, and are reconsidering our earlier decision. 

 

Has anyone had any experience with appeals. 

 

Haven't received the letter yet so will update if that gives me any more information.

Hi, I am in the same boat. Appeal had that update on jan 19th. My attorney's haven't received any mail tho.

Do you have any update.?

I did manage to ring the AAO about a month ago and they said that it was being looked at and that the (letter being sent Update)  was a mistake. I have tried to ring them since and its constantly engaged.  So no further forward.

 

So still waiting. Truth be known I'm not that confident about the appeal but i would like to know so i can put another fast track application in.

That's unfortunate.

1) So is the notice of appeal to the commissioner and AAO are the same office.? Meaning it is not with USCIS anymore.?

2) The case was reopened and reconsidering the previous decision is a mistake itself then or just the mail that we should receive is a mistake.? Please clarify.
