I used this website to navigate my now husbands journey and overtime I get a lot of questions from people on how I did it etc.

 

This one I need some help with... It’s a young couple both in their earlier twenties they have been dating and living in Portugal.  The boy never lived in the US but his father is a citizen and kept up with his passport so he is a US citizen with a passport and SSN. He decided to come visit with his fiancé, neither have been.  They are engaged and decided it would be great to get married and stay here, they love it and want to start their new life here.  What are her options as she came on a visitors visa and he has a passport.

Strongly suggest that you suggest they set up their own account and review the VJ guides.

He will need to establish domicile in the US prior to filing petition for his later wife.

09/20/2018 Received text 'Interview was scheduled' and interview notice will be mailed

09/27/2018 Received Interview notice by mail

10/25/2018 Interview day

10/26/2018 I-485 case status updated to "We ordered your new card"

10/29/2018 Case Status updated to "We approved your Form I-485"

10/31/2018 Case Status updated to "We mailed your new card"

11/01/2018 My card was picked up by the USPS with tracking number assigned

Side note: I turned my maiden name into second middle name. In the combo card, my given name is First Firstmiddleinitial, however on the back of the card, they attempted to list my second middle name.
