F2a visa

My husband and my son recently had their interview at the Us embassy in Manila. After the interview the consul got their documents and passports. They told him to submit another i864-a signed by me and my stepdad. Originally my mom is my co sponsor. They also sent me an email. It says there that they are not able to complete the processing of your visa. What does that mean? Is approved or denied?

It's technically a refusal under 221g...they don't have sufficient information to determine eligibility for the visa. But once they get the requested information, they can approve and issue it, assuming she is eligible.

Even if you are using a cosponsor you as the petitioner need to submit a valid affidavit of support. They want a new I-864A. Submit it and it will be approved.

Ok. I already submitted one with my mom as well. Do you have any idea as to why they would ask for one with my dad? And do u think it will get approved?

Do you really think so? I am really worried. I already did. Do u have any idea how long is the process. Because my husbands and sons medical would expire on March 8  😕

The CO determines eligibility. If the only thing they want to see are the I-864As and there are no other issues and background checks clear, then I don't see why it would be denied.

Thanks so much for your feedback. Thats the only thing they asked and i assume all is with the background check! thanks!
