Most embassies give the option of English or native language for the area.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

It will be in English unless she needs a translator- which they will provide. If she needs a translator, you better know how to speak Vietnamese too, or be able to prove that you two are comminicating somehow.

By the way, when is your interview?

I had a similiar question as well before. My fiancés country is Algeria, and their two official languages are French and Arabic. My fiancé speaks both, plus his ethnic language kaybilie. My fiance barely speaks English, but I speak French fluently and that's how we communicate. So he's going to do his interview in French so that It shows his ability to speak it. I also have on my work history that I worked for 6 months as a bilingual french/english customer service representative, so that already shows my skills.

Your fiance should get a choice of whether to be interviewed in English or in their own language... but some people have been given a hard time for that or been forced to interview in their second language despite their preference... if your fiance doesn't speak English then they need to be ready for the inevitable questions about how the two of you will communicate.
