That was my rule for this past weekend. It helped with all the bickering about furnishing the new place. 😕 First real arguments we've had in years, last one was when we weren't a couple.

some say you are not truly a couple until you can survive such an argument, I think life would be dull if I had to live with my female equivalent in thought and mind ad infinitum

Thanks, I'm taking comfort in knowing that the other shoe finally dropped and we are normal! I was thinking: is it normal not to argue about, like, anything? I mean, not just not fighting about nasty and low stuff, but every time I start to get worked up about something small that's bothering me, he just talks me through it. He's can have a bit of a temper, and I know that, but I'd never seen it pointed my way. Nothing big, really, and that's how we were able to finally get out of it all, by putting it into perspective. I'm just a natural neurotic type-A person who needs everything to be right, and I'm also a people-pleaser, so I want everything to be right AND I want everyone to be happy. We're both fine now. Perspective is a good thing!

Reminds me -- I need to find a new therapist for when I get there!

I'm like a boat, a big one, I get there, I get there slowly and it's really where I was headed anyway, but I get there. My ex-wife was a large barge, she could deflect me

Nothing wrong with occasionally arguing with your man.  Just don't do it often, and be quick to say, "I'm sorry dear, I was wrong.  What WAS I thinking, arguing with a man?"

You know you've made it when you have night time sleepwalking feng shui episodes.
