I’m beginning to think Obama was a saint.  He set in motion the current downward trend of joblessness, but did it so that Trump could take credit for it.  Obama deserves a Nobel for it.

Obama did it for the country. Unlike Trump, Obama is not always thinking about how to make personal attacks against former presidents in between making corporate tax breaks for his rich buddies. 🙈

I think Obama did it for the Party as it seems that is all that matters to those that proclaim to be Democrats.

This title is misleading. Can we change it to "The Monthly Trump wins again thread"?

Sorry I got lax. I just got tired of winning. Of course he predicted that would happen

Huh, I read this morning that hiring is down while wages are up. It's not a gloomy report overall, just not completely sunny. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/06/business/economy/august-jobs-report.html

buried in the mullet wrapper that is the NYT is a smidgen of the truth

The August jobs data does not suggest that a recession is imminent. The unemployment rate, for example, was unchanged at 3.7 percent, near a 50-year low. And the labor force participation rate rose to 63.2 percent, from 63 percent

Don’t bother, a quick google search has the number anywhere from 130k to 180k depending on the metric.
