I was waiting for Trump to do it because he ran on that campaign promise and the dems didn't throw a wasteful 9 million parade to be admired as commander in chief.
Come on, we all know he wants to live large !

In response to my question about why the dems didn’t fix the homeless/PTSD Vets problem prior to Trump taking over,  you said:

And now I am twisting your words?  No, that is not a twist.  That is pointing out just how silly your posts were.  You were not waiting for Trump to do anything, you are simply blaming him for not solving a problem that has existed for more than 50 years.  Nothing but disdain/discord/loathing for the man.

As to my words, Obama is not president, Trump is. Obama doesn't want a 9 million dollar parade, Trump does.
Trump constantly harps on the vets, the vets, the vets, all words and no action.
Focus, don't deflect.

Like I said, your boy Obama had the chance to fix the VA, and treatment of Vets for 8 years.  He failed.  At least Trump has the desire to do something about it.  If he does nothing in the next 7 years, then our arguments will amount to nothing.  Let’s wait and see, eh?

Those sound good, I grant ye.  I find stats elsewhere that say about 40% decrease in homeless vets between 2010 and 2016.  Also good.  Still about 39,000 homeless vets out there (around 60K in 2010 I think), so still a lot to do.  

 

Thanks for providing the stats.  Due to the portrayal of the “large number of homeless vets”, I didn’t realize we had made significant gains on the problem.

 

Now VA healthcare... yikes.  Still bad when patients are dying while waiting to be cared for.
