Not in Dallas area, very common

Interesting....I can assure you that it isn't common in the Asian grocery stores in the Dallas area.....at least not in McKinney or Plano....

Anyone who sells prescription meds like you described is violating a plethora of FEDERAL and state laws........smh

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That's pretty cool. The US is such a law suit happy culture. There are no bending the rules US here unfortunately.

That's such a shame.

Not sure if it's legal or not, but if OP has a long-term GP that has their history, it might be possible that they write a prescription to provide to a family member there, have it filled in Australia and throw into the mail priority. Should arrive in a few days (Australia Post depending... so far we are at 3.5 weeks for a 6 business day item to get to my Fiance) and help get through - probably be about the same cost as going to Urgent Care, too.

Actually this makes me think, and I'm sorry if it's OT (though not really) - anyone know if there's anywhere that you can get over-the-counter Albuterol inhalers in the US?  I can get them OTC here in Aus for ~$6 each without the fuss of going to the GP for a prescription and while I'm planning on stockpiling a few before I make the move, I want to know what I'm in for later...

Sadly no albuterol over the counter here, you'll need a prescription. I pay about $60 bucks for 1 inhaler. I used to pay 18 for 2 in Canada so sad so yes stock up. If you take any steroids get as many as you can to last you awhile. They can go up to 350 depending on what one and your insurance.

McKinney has an Asian Store?  I go to he Plano ones weekly, They are building a Ranch 99 in Frisco and should be open in a few months, it's behind on build time.

It's Mexican Grocery stores usually in places like West Dallas or Irving that I am familiar with. Pepe's off Bernal Dr in near Singleton in West Dallas was one place.  The first place I ever saw them selling antibiotics was in Irving in a little quick stop/Mexican Grocery store off Irving Blvd.  This was 10 years ago when I saw this,  It seems as if they can skirt the rules somehow.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

I misspoke.  McKinney doesn't have a real Asian store to my knowledge. We usually always buy groceries at H Mart and Jusgo (Asia World Market) in Plano..........we like their vegetables at both places.....but I've never seen any prescription meds for sale....:).

We eat Dinner at H Mart almost weekly in the Food Court area.  We eat at the Food Court area at Jusgo weekly as well.  They have a place that sell crawdads and they are almost in season.

My wife shops mostly at Ranch 99 off Legacy.

Haha speaking from someone who was just up at 4:00 am doing neublizers treatments on herself. I see an Allergy and Asthma specialist. She gives me all the free samples of inhalers when I go in for my yearly appointments. She also gives me all the coupons from manufacturers so I don’t make a co pay for me epipens. It took a little while to find a good specialist but I joke that I save money seeing her because of all the samples and coupons she hands me. I was one of the Lucky ones that developed severe asthma as an adult.

Steriods are a familiarly inexpensive drug here with and without insurance. With my insurance it’s about 10 dollars

to get a refill. When my dog needs steriods it’s usually less than 40 dollars without insurance for his taper (my dog is literally allergic to the world.)

Is that good?  I see it all the time, We ate HMart on Friday.

What the best dish there, I will give it a shot.  I eat at the Jap restaurant inside the food court quite a bit. I get Salmon Don plate, pretty tasty.

Schezwan Folk is the most authentic traditional Sichuan Chinese cooking my wife has found in Texas......i really like the twice cooked pork and also the hot pot.
