NOA1 date = July 3, 2017

Jan 17th received letter requesting more info. Problem - my finance and i live 8 hours apart. We have been driving back and forth to see each other. We dont have any airline tickets or other documents that show both our names on it to prove we have met in person. We sent photos of us together but still received a letter requesting more proof. We have videos but the letter specifically says NO videos??  We dont know what to send as proof?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Wow this is interesting.  Ebunoluwa is pretty spot on, not to be forward but maybe do hotel receipts maybe even added costs or actually fly once?

Do something w/ named tickets that match up?   Goto a notary and say can you sign this affirming we physically met? hehe thats bit odd but its something. Did you have an engagement party? Maybe announce in the local paper (do people still do that?)

Also, if you ever did AirBnB their receipts show all guests names--I sent all of our receipts because of that. And if you have an iphone all their pictures have the dates coded in them--so if you transfer them to a computer they date usually shows up and you can take a screen shot of that. If you use snapchat you could also find that the pictures show the dates they were taken and you can screenshot them with the date info on your phone. Hope I could help you brainstorm.

To be blunt, they shouldn't have to. It's your job to show that you meet the requirements, no theirs to lookup information that you're meant to provide.

I'm not sure what system Canada uses to track crossings, but did you try to lookup the I-94 history for the crossings into the US? It won't include crossings where they didn't swipe the passport, but presumably they did so at least once.

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/

You can take screencaps from the video and print those out. It's not the same as sending the video, but it's the next best thing. I would also include a signed written letter describing the crossings and that you only live 8 hours apart. The IO probably does not know the driving distance between the addresses.

Also in relation to this, you can plug the addresses on google maps and you have a way to prove the driving distances as well.

As a Canadian who lives very close to the border and her American fiancé (about an hour away), I know first hand it can be tough when you don’t have flight itineraries or any of the usual evidence because obviously you do not board a flight to travel such a short distance and Canada definitely does not stamp your passport to enter the US lol. I have a NEXUS card which was scanned every single time I entered the US and I scanned that for USCIS.

In terms of what we used we really lucked out that one time we took a silly tourist photo in front of the Seattle Great Wheel and they stuck it in a little envelope with the receipt (because you know they charge you $20 for a picture!). You’ll have to get a little creative here so think hard. I am hoping the dated picture will suffice but I am prepared for an RFE even though we explained that we only live an hour from each other. For example, I found a receipt in my car after we filed from when my fiancé changed the oil in my car. The receipt shows my car’s license plate number with his name on it as he paid by credit card. Another option I’ll have is to print out visa statements of all the time I filled up on gas or bought groceries in his home town. You might have things like this that just haven’t occurred! Notarized letters from people in each other’s lives may be useful. Good luck!

Well, actually if they have been using Google Maps... Google maps saves the history where an account holder has been:

I have never heard of anybody using that as evedence, but worth a try. Maybe including a few chosen screenshots as additional evidence.

We never had any hotel receipts with both are names on it when I visited the US. When he visited me he stayed at my house.

We sent CC receipts, debit card receipts from each other in the others country. Greyhound ticket for me when I would go down there. Gas receipts for him filling up in my town. We also sent in Pictures, and that was it.
