Hello,

I had USA Visa its cancelled without notes after I visit the USA . and after asking the reason for cancelling I got this email

"New information became available after the visa was issued so that we must re-evaluate your eligibility for the visa. Therefore, you will need to re-apply for a visa and the officer we will determine your eligibility at that time. "

I applied again and I'm still under AP with Yellow slip, in the embassy interview they didn't stamp my visa,

also, have Canadian Visa and I'm planning to Vist in April so can this Cancelled visa affect my Canadian visa or the Canadian border control give me trouble for it ?

  • I didn't overstay in the US
  • I stayed there for 13 days only
  • I didn't do anything wrong while my visiting the US

Thanks for any answer

I have read that the US and Canada do, in fact, share immigration and visa information.......It is very possible that you will face questions or worse.

I don’t think that because one visa got canceled it will give you trouble with the other. However, the reason why they canceled the visa might be a good enough reason for Canada to worry about too. So that’s how they kind of affect each other. You need to find out exactly what the red flag is in your visa issuance.

That would be up to the Canadians, information is shared.

It can cause issues depending on the reason it was cancelled.  If it was cancelled because of any suspected immigrant intent, or prior criminal history (depending on the crime), then most likely Canada will deny you entry as well.

This The Reason for Cancellation as Embassy said

"New information became available after the visa was issued so that we must re-evaluate your eligibility for the visa. Therefore, you will need to re-apply for a visa and the officer we will determine your eligibility at that time. " after I applied again he didn't stamp my old visa and he give passport back and give me yellow slip, sent email for some background question, and I'm sure there's no criminal history or something like that .

This the reason which I got after I ask the embassy throw email, I applied again officer didn't stamp my visa and give me this yellow slip and send email for some background questions, you think if there's anything wrong in my file he would stamp my visa or there's no relation with this ?

Did not realize you had another thread on this already....always better to keep related questions to one thread so that all of the information is already there for members to read the "full story" and be able to respond appropriately.

Now that I've read the other thread, it seems that your initial reasons given to the CO for visiting the US were not jiving with the actual reasons you visited the US (in the eyes of the embassy).  Somehow, information got back to them, I gather.

All you can do right now is wait and see what happens after the AP period.

You were in the US for legitimate business reasons, that's what the B1 visa is for.

Meeting with clients or prospects is not considered work, you are just looking to establish/improve commercial relationships (it happens all the time, all my clients come in from Europe and meet their clients here, attend meetings, sign contracts, etc).

So I don't think the hold up is due to your activities on your last visit. My guess is that it's due to either something that came up in your file or the cold relationship between Turkey and the US (although you're Egyptian, you got your visa in Turkey).

Yes, to what extent though all depends on who you get at POE.

Also depends on what answer/proof you give to the question "what is the purpose of your visit to Canada?".

I have no idea, but it's possible since US and Canada share immigration-related info.

If you were driving to the border I'd tell you to try to drive up and find out, but I'd be more cautious if you're flying from Turkey.
