hey all,

I'm sending out my AOS package soon. Did any of you decide to not send the I-693 (medical examination), and wait to take it to interview? If so, has anyone actually got a RFE for not sending in the medical with the package? I don't want it to expire, so would rather wait to take it to interview. However, I don't want to risk an RFE and risk delaying my EAD/AP!

I sent a copy of the vaccination paper they gave me. I didn't get a RFE...I don't understand why sending a copy would make it expire, have you not taken your medical already?

This thread isn't the place to be asking this -- I would recommend opening a new thread in the main AOS section of the forum.

I disagree with this statement ...I think this is the perfect place to ask questions about the AOS process...Aren't we here to help each other reach out the end goal?

My friend, although and pay attention that I said ALTHOUGH i-693 isnt a requirement for your AOS, you may do so for your convenience and sake of letting something "behind". The i-693 was a requirement as part of my initial process and so I submitted along with AOS. There was no reason for me not to.

______

You are NOT required to submit Form I-693 at the time you file your adjustment application, but may do so if you
wish. Because of the time-limited validity of Form I-693, you may choose to submit your Form I-693 after you file
your Form I-485. You may also submit Form I-693 in person at an interview in a USCIS field office, if an interview is
required. By waiting to submit Form I-693, you may avoid having to repeat the immigration medical examination.

https://www.uscis.gov/i-485

______

My understanding is that majority of AOS applicants choose for submitting i-693 along with the AOS, makes it easier, you get a rid of the doubt of "Am i going to get an RFE" plus, plus it is right there, why not. If you case is taking too long you will have to pay for a second exam anyway.

It is all a matter of perspective. Hope it helps.

Yes, and I do help others in the correct places on the forum. If everyone posted everywhere with no sense of order, it would be really hard to keep track of anything. It would actually make following any progress (e.g. different months) impossible.
