Yes, so now he has both citizenship and birth certificates from the US and Canada.

The OP probally means the CRBA. You only can have a birth certifacte from Canada if born there. You only can have a US birth certificate if born in the US.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Sorry guys, I was wrong.  Talked with the wife who says he only has a US Passport and SSN.  No US birth certificate.
