Dogma

MaDog

Ma Dog (mother dog) or...

Ma Dog (my dog)

Knowing Boiler, it was a pun.  If not, then knowing me, I saw it as a pun. :)

I figured it was a pun or cryptic. Lol, bit slow today.

I thought it was funny though that the only ma dog I could find was Welsh.

And I thought it was obvious.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

My karma ran over your dogma.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It was obvious to a Native English speaker but as you know a lot of people coming on this forum are not native English speakers.  @-Trinity- I am not picking on you at all FYI just making an observation but you need to stay CEHST awhile we like you.

Yep, those pesky Canadians, they need to learn how to speak the Proper English.

And French, have your tried self checking out in French at Home Depot?

Thought I had pressed the wrong button.

Lol, you remind me of almost EVERY Non-French Canadian I have spoken with I was in Kandahar Airfield(which was Canadian). They would talk ####### about them all the time and when the French Canadian unit took over KAF in 2011ish, dude you would have thought the world was ending on how the English speaking Canadian soldiers were talking about the French Canadian unit taking over.

Good times Good Times.

Yeah there's still some animosity left...

I just wish I actually DID learn to speak French semi-fluently in the end of all those years...it would have been nice to have had a second language skill under my belt.

So true. I only started picking up Tagalog in 2009 and now I am ok with it for the most part(if you speak slowly and not like a machine gun). But what sucks is where my wife lives in the Philippines they don't speak Tagalog at all unless your from somewhere else.

In NYC, most people seem to think I'm fluent in Spanish based on my looks/color (I presume) so they do the "machine gun" talking as soon as they approach me...for some strange reason I can sort of understand bits and pieces of what they are saying to me but can't speak a lick of it back to them.

I did learn how to say "no habla espanol" as soon as they start speaking in Spanish, and then most often than not the person will suddenly switch to perfect English lol

There was one instance where a lady got offended when I said I didn't speak Spanish and gave me a stern lecture (in broken English) about how I "should learn to speak my mother tongue and teach it to (my) children!!!!" or else I'm "killing the culture!!!" ....my response to her was not all that nice, I'm afraid.

That is what Filipino men say about women when they get mad and starting yelling at them "That they are talking so fast it's like a machine gun". HAHAHA if you have ever had a woman mad at you then you would understand that part.

But yeah my wife get's that as well because she is Filipino but looks Hispanic (her father was Mestizo), and she gets people coming up to her speaking Spanish all the time. She just says that she doesn't understand and asks if they speak English. What's weird is both of our children(1 and 4 years old) look really white like me when they are  young like 0 to 2 years old, but my 4 year old has since darkened up and looks Spanish now. We were laughing with our neighbors because they are a Peruvian/Mexican couple that both look white but both set of parents immigrated from Peru and Mexico. They are white but their daughter looks dark and we laugh that my daughter looks Mexican and they both look like sisters.

But my wife while we were living in CA was walking our daughter when she was like 6 months old down to the store one day and a lady asked my wife if "she was nanny because our daughter looks white and she looks Spanish". Needless to say my wife was not to happy with that woman and said  that "No, I am not a nanny and this is my child FYI".

U should SO tell people that your wife is your mistress, but you're not sure who the mother of the kids is.  Would love to see their faces on that one.  ;)
