So many immigrants recently that became terrorist and look at what they all have in common . They come from third world countries. Where the way of life and culture is so different they will never adapt to this land its values and people . In contrast to the europeans who arrived that shared pretty much all the same values and religion as the people already here. Its something thats hard to digest because of all this warm and fuzzy talk on MSM and coming from late night show hosts but its the cold hard truth.

Its ok for people from all countries to immigrate here, but it needs to be in small numbers so they ADAP and ASSIMILATE to the local people and not build there own enclaves, that start to look like the countries they come from

I know I'm probably late to this party, and I don't necessarily know where I fall in this whole discussion. I've enjoyed reading everyone's positions. However, saying "majority of immigrants = third world country individuals = terrorists" is absurd, untrue, and prejudicial (source: http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/trump-immigrant-terrorists-180122082108947.html). I believe it's also fair to point, as I believe someone did with their comment "you wouldn't even have hamburgers" (paraphrasing), that the culture and way of life of underdeveloped countries may be different, but that is NOT a bad thing. This country, however much some people here may want to deny it, is built upon different cultures, perspectives, ways of life, foods and languages. One does not have to share the same values and religion to be a part of the United States, nor should they have to. What's wrong with enclaves? Those happen all the time, and everywhere. Why is it so hard to understand that people from those countries might be able to add something to the United States that is beneficial? Going to New York City and having Italian pizza, or damn good Chinese food. Going to Louisiana and absorbing creole culture. Those are things that make this country better. If everyone had adapted, there would be so many incredible things that the US wouldn't be able to provide.

Yea AlJazeera... The two recent terrorists in New York . The one that shot up 50+people in Pulse Nightclub.San Bernadino . Boston Marathon Bomber ... You wanna go on about this .Just look up wikipedia and see who is incarcerated at Federal Supermax. Why is it never a Canadian, australian , european ? Same on Europe where I am from . Dont be a fool please .

This country is built on Judeo-christian culture and values . Thats why its like this and not like central american or the middle east .

This is the problem with the left they think if you would take out all the americans and replace them with people from third world countries it would still be the same . This is a very false narrative. It is like this because of mainly european settlers who built the foundation of this country .

The end if the party is always the most fun part!

But I agree, I don't understand when people are bashing other people for wanting to be with other similar minded people. That's just human nature, and no matter what country you go, you will find enclaves of like minded folks.

About America, I think what it makes unique is that's it's so diverse, but that people still consider themselves American, no matter what their cultural or ethnic background is. And how beautiful is it that everywhere you go in this country, you find the results of different cultures who melted together to become something new.

Today I was at a place and they had a product made by Amish and had something Dutch in it. It gave me a happy warm feeling and I told the merchant that I'm Dutch and that I thought it's nice to see something American with a Dutch background.

He didn't understand what I was rambling about, I had to explain that Dutch is from the Netherlands.

Ehm, as I recall there was a huge mass shooting in Las Vegas with many many deaths. There was a shooting in a church, little innocent kids killed execution style. Those had nothing to do with immigration...

Trust me you say this because in the USA there are not yet enclaves like in Europe for example . Where you think you are in the middle east and have a very high unemployment and crime rate, with sharia law implemented throug clerics that settle disputes according to the Quran . Where its not safe for girls to walk at night etc.. I grew up in a major German city so I do know what I am talking about . I have been all around the USA and enclaves like this do not directly exist . Yes high crime areas but not where a parrallel society has been established .

Yes so these people are crazy people that exist in any country . But a recent arrival to the USA with absolutely no reason to be here other then being drawn in some lottery is a very different thing .

No? So...can you explain why there are places where you won't find a person speaking English? Where everything is Spanish? You obviously have never been to the Persian neighbourhoods in Los Angeles? Or the Dominican neighbourhoods in NY.

And I'm from Europe, I know the situation there. The bold text is to much bs to react on....

So Sharia is part of the German law now? Interesting....

UK has  problems and I have no direct experience in the US, but probably too late here as well.

I'm sorry, you lost me when you tried to convince me about non existing enclaves in America.
