Two different requirements for my 221g

Is this a new version of the DS-5535 policy or something totally new?

So they are still asking for the information that is on the DS-5535 even though the DS-5535 expired at the end of November 2017.

Why did they have to ask permission to request all that information if they are going to continue to request it after the permission ends??

Yes, that is what I thought. It was not mentioned as a DS-5535 though, it was a simple text email headlined as a questionnaire.

I posted the government documents on another thread. There is nothing after November. No renewal as far as I can tell.

So why did they bother asking?
