Close to 2 year limit

I last visited my fiancee in the Philippines in August of 2016. Due to legal issues on her end, we had to wait a long time before submitting our K-1 visa application. Based on current stats, it's looks like she might not get her interview until May or even June. Which puts us only 2 months or so away from the "must have seen each other in person within two years" limit.

 

I could, potentially, fly out there for a few days in April. Which would re set the clock. But given the hassle and expense, I'd really rather not. If it isn't absolutely necessary.

 

Does anyone know how strict they are about this? Could she be denied even if it's not quite over the two year mark yet? We have ample proof of ongoing relationship. Letters, emails, Skype logs, etc.

the rule is you must have met in person within 2 years of filing from the date you file, not two years from date of her interview.

Another visit will be good but not required since you'd be filing within 2 years of meeting. 

 

Going again to see her may strengthen your evidence of ongoing relationship.
