Leave the US while waiting for Green Card

Is that possible?

 

I heard that it could be a problem to leave the US while waiting for the Green Card... there is another way to do it? What if one of my relative is sick and I have to go back in my country? let me know if one of you had any experience or problems enter the US.

No, is not possible. If you leave the USA before marriage and AOS you can't come back.

Do you have Advanced Parole?  If not, you will need to wait till you either receive that or your green card.

A green card isn't the same as advanced parole. 

 

You need advanced parole, otherwise you'll abandon your status and have to start over.

I know, but the I-131 (Advance Parole) is for Greencard Holders or after marriage .....

I'll be in the US in a few days and in a month or so I'm gonna get married... it was just hypothetically. My father is not well and I needed to know just in case anything happen.I imagined that it wasn't that simple.

Once you enter the US with your K-1 visa, you can not leave the US before you receive an approved Advance Parole....That takes about 4 months after you (1) marry AND (2) file your AOS paperwork....

Getting married, then file for AOS asap. For AOS, if you want to leave USA, you have apply for AP. If you getting married, then file for AOS and leaving US without AP means you abandon your case, and you have to start again . So make sure  you sorted these things out.

AP is for applicants who are waiting for a green card. Green card holders have zero need for AP.

If you filed for AOS + AP + EAD after marriage and you have an emergency before you get the actual AP you could try and file for an "Emergency AP". 
I don't know how sick your dad is, but if the worst case would happen, an emergency AP would likely go through.

Just don't ever leave the country before you have anything in hands, or you'll abandon your process, like all others above stated. 
I've seen posts of people who have been traveling abroad for an emergency before they got an emergency AP... that doesn't work.

EDIT: Of course that is for after you have arrived here and got married, in case my choice of words was confusing.
