Tried to call my representative today to see if she submitted my request and she wouldn't even pick up the phone. First was on a meeting, then "just stepped out of office" and about 6 hours later on the day I spoke to her Co worker who spoke to her who told him to tell me she hasn't done it yet. I feel so frustrated and like my representative doesn't care... anyone have similar experience with senators office or do they actually help? :(

They do perform security checks pretty early.  Since you are an August filer I don't think you are being delayed.  They still have May, June and July cases to work on.  You are fine.  Your petition will be adjudicated when it should be.  Not even half of July is complete yet and there are quite a few June and even a few May petitions in the same boat.  You are good.  Hopefully they will get to you soon but it is way too early to be concerned about it.

I got the same from my Congressman.  Right now USCIS is publicly stating that they are working on June 1 cases.  Everyone filing after June 1 is considered within "normal processing times". That is all you will officially get from them until the published date passes your received date.

I'm a June 6 filer who talked to my Congressman, Tier I and Tier II many times and even had a call back from Tier II.  I'm Day 233 and "within normal processing times".

Feels like she's avoiding me?

Your representative cannot help you expedite the security checks, I think that she cares, but there's not much she can do at this point.

I didn't ask for expedited security check. I asked just to check up with them if its still pending since its 3 weeks now. She sent my inquiry today though. So let's see.

Yep pretty sure they just said whatever.

Its not stuck. They just didn't really started to process August yet. So cases are getting their background checks before the initial processing.

they are still doing june and early july cases currently.

USCIS received our case April 12th 2018 and now it’s been a year and they say Case on hold due to pending security checks.

Your case was transferred to Vermont? If so you have more going on than just the standard security checks...

Finally done...

As in? Please provide some detail

I-129Fs transferred to Vermont involve some sort of investigation for additional background checks of the petitioner. This could be due to certain criminal offenses (specifically AWA offenses tend to get transferred there) or a name mismatch that pops up that needs to be resolved. It's not a typical transfer for petitioners with a clean record.

I have talked with USCIS and the way the put it was that the Vermont location is less busy.

i do have some things on my criminal background.. but after a year they are still  meddling with that?  How hard it to run a background?  I sent them my entire criminal background with details and showing they have all been satisfied

Vermont is less busy (I-129F-wise) as it only handles the more complex cases.

They sometimes even need the petitioner to complete a biometrics appointment to help verify identity / avoid name conflicts. Other times, it's just waiting for a manual investigation to complete.
