Yes, as long as he is at least 21 years old. He might need to have an established domicile in the US, too.

Was your son born in the us or did the father complete a crba (consular report of birth abroad)?

 

Not every child born outside of the U.K. to American parents is automatically American. Your sons father might not have been able to transmit his citizenship to your son

 

If he is a us citizen then as above mentions he will have to be 21 and have domicile already established or plenty of evidence he is establishing domicile in the US.
