Good pm, my girlfrnd who is a us citizen currently studying here in ph. Can she sponsor me for a k1 visa? Does she needs to be there in the US physically in order for her to sponsor me? If does, who long she needs to stay? And I'am currently applying for NCLEX application in texas, can it be a problem later on for the approval of k1 visa? Ty

1.)  She doesn't sponsor you, she applies for a K1 Visa for you.  As a rule Philippines doesn't require sponsorship paper work for a K1.

2.) Apply for NCLEX will have no effect

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

No she doesn't need to be.

You can do a DCF, Direct Consular Filing.  Get married first in Philippines and I believe you walk into the US Embassy and get an appointment or do one on the spot there. So much more quicker and less money.   Check into it.

It is better to just get married there in the Philippines, there's a direct filing for Spousal Visa (CR-1 visa) in the US Embassy. It takes 10 to 12 months for K1 visa (Fiance visa) and it is more expensive than spousal visa (might take 12 to 18 months). She has to show domicile and documents that she is able to support both of you when you file for K1 or CR-1.

I am also Filipino and I passed my NCLEX. It won't affect your application for either visa.
