Hello!

I had my interview at the US Embassy Manila yesterday, and they told me to get a DNA test. My petitioner is in the states and im here in the Philippines. The embassy sent me an email saying that I have to wait for them to send the instructions for the DNA testing, do I really have to wait for that? or can my mom just call the aabb accredited lab in the states already???

Yes, you have to wait for their letter and instructions before going for the DNA Test

but the embassy already sent me an email saying that i need a dna test, but they are also asking me to wait for the instructions... how long will that take? I read a similar forum about it on this site and they said that they didn't wait for the instruction letter and it saved them 27 days

It depends on each case, and also if you have all the information(eg.place take the DNA test)  you need for the DNA then you can ahead with the the process without with waiting for their letter. Sometimes they will ask you to get the DNA in specific lab recommended by them

Just curious why they need DNA test for?

Pat Simbulan..... Look for another AABB approved by USCIS for DNA testing. But just in case you need the address where me and my daughter had our DNA.

Here's the address:

DNA Diagnostics Center
DNA Technology Park
One DDC Way
FAIRFIELD, OHOH 45014
US

I think it depends on the  AABB approved by USCIS for DNA testing.  221g letter is ok. Most members here who had DNA just give that 221g letter. Because when my husband got the letter from USCIS, it is the same letter sent here in our home in the US, the 221g letter.
