Hey everyone! I received the NOA2 (CR1 Petition Approval) in the mail on 01/16/2018, it stated that it had been approved on 01/10/2018. So, now we are waiting for the NVC to receive the case.

I was looking in the Guides section here, I found this

Quote

A few weeks after you have received your last Notice of Action indicating the approval and forwarding of your I-130 application to the NVC, the NVC will send your relative a packet of forms that you and your relative must fill out before your relative can be given an interview date with a consulate abroad.

My question is, are there going to be things in the papers that I, myself, need to fill out and sign? We live in 2 different countries. I know there are ways to get the papers signed even though we live in different countries, but does someone have the answer to this question?

Do those papers include the Affidavit of Support?

Thank you in advance

You will get a list of needed documents from NVC along with your new CSBXXXXXXXX case number

2 criminal reports will be needed from Morocco but do not do them until requested as one expires in 90 days

they are  Extrait de la Fiche Anthropometrique and casier judiciaire / NVC will want the original and English translation of these

you will get 2 invoices to pay the AOS and DS 260 fees onlne

when they site says paid you then fill out the DS 260 and the I 864

time then to get the criminal reports (chrono post is faster to deliver to US / in 2015 was $35 and took 4 days to deliver)

remember they need to be returned in with the letter you will get with a bar code form NVC (make sure you keep a copy for your records)

when sending anything to NVC be sure to put your new CSB case number, both your names and both DOB's in upper right hand corner so they do not get lost or misplaced by that office
