Hi all, I have just received my naturalization certificate back today, 9/20. 3 days after passport receipt date of 9/17. Tomorrow I am going to the SSA to change my status and then I am officially don

i got email with tracking no and it will be delivered on Monday. I submitted application along with my son, but his status is still processing. Hope they don't ask anything for him.

Do they email you a tracking number once they receive it? I didn't get a tracking number for the passport application from USPS.

NM. I just checked the State Dept. site. I don't need a tracking number to check the status.

Nope, they never emailed me the tracking number..

I just checked again and the date to deliver has changed from 05/03/2018 to 05/04/2018 

 

This means your passport should be mailed via Priority Mail on or about 05/04/2018.

A quick question....When the State Department sends you your Passport or Passport card ...they usually send via USPS Priority mail...

But when the USPS delivers at your home or apartment, does it requires your signature to receive the passport or the mailman simply delivers and goes ???

If for instance your signature is required..and if no one is at your home to receive  your passport does the USPS keep a note on your door and goes back mentioning you to visit at your local post office with the note to get your passport..???

Any inputs will be highly appreciated...

UPDATE: Wow! this is happening quick! maybe because I did my application at the actual dallas state department office?

I just got email notification that says 'We have finished processing your passport, and it has been printed.' and when I check their website it says:

Your passport application is in the final processing stages.

Your passport application locator number is *********.

When you applied, you requested Routine Service.

This means you should receive your passport on or about 05/08/2018.

If you have any additional questions, please contact the National Passport Information Center with the above locator number.

 

Thats 10 calendar days/ 7 business days with routine service and regular mail (if i get it around 8th of course)

According to the post office  my passport was delivered Today at my local post office and ready for me to go pick up. I guess they dont deliver at apartment mailboxes or offices when it comes to passports? Anyway, I applied last Saturday so it only took 5 business days (no expediting fee or expediting mail)

The office where I have to go pick it up is closed on weekends so I will have it in my hands Monday :)
