CEAC - DS-160 online from down from shutdown?

We got our notice from the Bangkok embassy today and when we try to fill out the form online you can do the first page and then when going to the next page it just keeps saying it has timed out. Anyone else getting this problem?  Was wondering if its an issue with the shutdown or just some strange loop the website is going through.

 

Also on another note, i thought the packet they sent from the embassy would have a lot more information that it actually had. Anyone else have a similar feeling or situation?

I had the same problem. I tried an hour later and it worked perfectly. And yes! I got an email invitation for the interview from the embassy and the information and the instructions were brief but quite helpful.

Thank you for the information, Will try again in a little while, maybe they are overloaded with people due to the shutdown :-)

Zero to do with shut down. Some folks need to do it on a different computer with better internet or even a different browser Google Chrome, Fire fox , etc.

Thank you, yeah i just wanted to check :-) I have amazing internet 300Mb up and down :-) and i tried it again about an hour later and as mentioned above it worked much better this time. Thank you for taking the time to reply, man all of this is sometimes overwhelming. But the end of the part is almost done, then we get to start all over for the AOS process and enjoy endless paperwork and wait times. :-)

@FamousJerry How long did it take from the time NVC sent the petition until the embassy in Bangkok received it?

This was literally the most amazingly quickest part of the whole process, from the date we got our NVC number it was sent out 3 days later and was there in 3 days after that and she got her notice in the mail 3 days after that. We literally were shocked at how fast it moved once the NVC generated our case number. So about 9 days from getting our number to her getting her notice from the BKK embassy.
