Hi everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked before and I truly apologize if it has been answered a million times.  I'm a new mum and surviving on very little sleep at the moment whilst trying to simultaneously get all the paperwork together for my I-751.  Do I need to list my newborn baby on the form since he clearly is already a US citizen by default.  I can't find anything direct in the instructions relating to this.  Not listing him feels like a lie, but listing him also seems pointless for my case.

Thank you so much in advance for all your help.

The form says to list ALL your children, not all your non-US citizen children.  I would list your baby - it's better to have him on the form and potentially have that section ignored because it's not needed than it is to have not listing him cause problems later on.  I've listed my husbands US citizen children (my step-kids) on all my forms and that hasn't caused any problems, nor have I ever been told I didn't need to or shouldn't have done that.
