NVC filer- February 2017

Hello! I applied I-130 for my spouse. I have everything prepared to submit the affidavid of support. Only thing missing is the tax transcript for 2017. Will it be a good idea to submit the documents without latest tax return? I didn't get W2 from my employer yet. I will get it sometime in February. Even if I get my W2 in Feb, it'll take another 3-4 weeks to get the transcript. I was hoping to submit everything to NVC as soon as possible without any delay.

Any recommendation ?

I would go ahead and send it, I'm not sending my 2017 tax transcript for the same reason. You're not obligated to until March 17th when taxes for 2017 are actually due. Submitting 2016 as the most recent year will be fine!

May I know how you filled up following items in sponsor form?

Did you select No for 18.a and kept 19.a blank?

No select Yes and put 2016 as the most recent year in 19.a! Since taxes aren't due until April 17th (sorry I accidentally put March 17th in my original reply), 2016 is still considered your most recent tax year if you haven't filed for 2017 yet

Thanks! I mailed my docs on 4th. Do you have any idea how long NVC is taking to review docs in this stage?
