On November 14, 2013, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status.....it is now 2018....should I be concerned?

I haven't moved, and I went to the USCIS office and was told to keep calm.

That sounds like the case has been abandoned to be honest. It’s taking around 6 months or less to adjust status from K1. That is too long. How did you not think something was up after a year? 

If you don’t adjust status you’re pretty much living in limbo, without work, ability to travel, even get a driver’s license in some states.

2013? What's the full timeline as this is long outside normal processing timelines...presumably they adjudicated it years ago.

I've been going to USCIS office....the sent me my work permit and social card.

I should have been more specific. 6 months or less for AP, EAD. That’s what I meant. It’s taking around 8-12 for greencard.

The EAD (and AP) is only valid for 1 year. Did you renew them?

I worked for a year then started school full time...it expired ...should I renew even if I'm not working at the moment?

It's not required if you aren't going to work. But it is free in case you need it.

But yeah...find out about your I-485 first. After a year, you should have heard something. After 2 years, you most definitely should have heard something.
