save that money and spend it on the one way

I'm saying that the one-way ticket is more expensive than a return ticket.

 

As I mentioned earlier, we know the risk of buying the flight ticket before having visa on hand, however, we appreciate if no one comment about it since that is the risk we willing to take and we appreciate if anyone can give opinion on the query asked rather than highlighting about that

I use https://www.momondo.com/ for all my international flights.  they give me the places with the best deals, all local companies will be higher.

on Momondo, the one way ticket is less expensive then getting a round trip ticket...If you want to return after the weeding I recommend getting a round trip where the return flight is far into the future, you can only travel for 1 year from the time you get your green card, after that 1 year is up, I do believe, and please don't quote me on this, but I believe you will need to have filed for a travel permit IE: Re-Entry Permit or Advanced Parole.

3 hours layover is quite rush. Happened to us last year and we missed the connecting flight at HKG to Dallas. (We used Malaysian Airlines too) 😄. Have to wait another 4 hours for then to find another connecting flight, which is to LA instead of Dallas. Also need to bear the consequences that the bags will not follow us due to the re route thingy. 😊

 

Anyway, best of luck on the interview. When is the medical?

Just comparing flights for our Mumbai trip and his one way to Oregon. The Emirates fare rules stated that they charge $600 for an unused leg of the trip. That's crazy but seems they've caught on.... check the small print carefully!!

You’re right, they are. But if (heaven forbid), OP isn’t approved, then the entire ticket cost could be lost. It’s a big gamble to book tickets before approval.
