Hi All

I was wondering if someone can tell me how to get an extension on my green card.

I have been in line for an interview for some time and my card and drivers license expire in April.   How soon should I apply and is this done through InfoPass?

Thank you

and if you get the chance to sit it out or dance.......

I HOPE YOU DANCE

you can't there isn't an extension of the GC while awaiting citizenship

you must renew your 10 year GC which may take 6 or more months, or let it expire and wait for naturalization

as said, the renewal is filed with the i90 form, and can be done online

if you are going to file for citizenship....and your GC expires within 6 months of filing...you can get a one year extension on your GC.  we did it.

I applied more than 6 months before they expire and the rules say that I did not need to renew my GC......

I guess the process was faster when that was written!
