Okay, so I’m just bored looking over the electronic copy of my packet I sent over and I realized 2 mistakes that I’ve made!

1. On the part where I am to fill in my parental information they asked country of birth and I put Haiti, then the next question asked, “City/town/village of residence”. I put the town in Haiti where they were born instead of our US city! But what’s worst is the next question asked “Country of residence” and I put “United stated of America” (which is correct). I didn’t even realize they were asking the town of residence, I just thought it was the town where they were born as well! My parents live and are citizens of the US.

2. I forgot to put a date on my fiance and I letter of intent!! We both signed and have both statements on our sheet but where it says “date” I left it empty! 😤

I write all that to ask are these big deals? Will I just receive RFE’s for them? I don’t know how I made such simple errors when I looked over the packet so many times. Didn’t even notice the smallest things. (Sigh)...

If you've already submitted your packet, then I wouldn't worry because there is nothing you can do at this point but wait until it's time for your I-129F to be reviewed. If there is an RFE, it should be a simple easy fix. There's no point in stressing about it now.

Thank you for your response, I’m just hoping it does result in a RFE & not a denial because they think I lied on the I-129F about my parents residence.

I don't think that will be grounds for denial. You'll be fine!

Hi, did your fiancé schedule for his medical before receiving packets 3 please? Our case is in Haiti since January 6 and we haven’t received packets 3 yet.

My fiancé filed Ds160 and paid the visa fee already. But we never receive packets. Can he does his medical before or should we wait for packets 3?

Thanks

If your petition is already at the embassy, I say to call and find out specific details about your case. I haven’t even received NOA2 yet since I’m still in the early stages of the I-129F but you don’t want to risk scheduling your medical too early since you don’t know what your interview date is. Haiti does things on their own time so definitely call to inquire about your case.

Hello,

My fiance scheduled his medical right away after we got our case number but that is acceptable for the UK. The UK doesn't send a third packet or anything like that so I'm not sure how Haiti would work. :(

Did u finally get packet 3? If so what's in it

Packet 3 for Haiti embassy has a letter describing how to schedule for your interview and what you need to bring for your medical appointment and your interview. It also has a booklet explaining the next steps after obtaining the visa.

NB: they don’t even mention the affidavit of support in packet 3. But I still send it with all the documents for my fiancé just in case. And also we schedule our interview, there will be no packet 4. Just make sure to give yourself some time between the medical and your interview day.
