Waht checks do they do on the benefitor ?

This may sound strange but my Fiancee ask me to marry her !! I said yes and she's after filing a I-129f so I can go to america to marry her. I live in the U.K.

I was wondering If anyone knows what back round checks they do on the benefitor, I have nothing to hide. But I had problems woth council tax one do they look at things like Credit reports ?

I don't want to mess up the prosess for her

The only check they will do is the police report that you need for the interview, which will be a ways down the road. Congratulations and welcome to the VJ family.

Yes they will take a look at your police record certificate. I could also imagine that they check when you came to the US before if you for example overstayed your visa,for example for people that are from VWP countries.

They will do a background check, yes...but they don't care about your credit history.

First off, Congrats! Theres many from the UK here, this website is a great source of information. As the others said, no credit history doesn't matter.
