Hey everyone! My fiance and I have started filling out the paperwork  the K-1 process and a few questions have popped up that I thought I might be able to get answered here.

1. Do we include volunteer positions on the K-1 under employment? Both my fiancé and I have taken 6+ months of volunteer work in the last five years, him in various countries, me in the states.

2. My fiancé did work in a third country without a work permit (Malaysia), is this going to cause any problems when filing/risk the chance of us getting denied?  I've gotten some really conflicting info on this from family friends on this. I didn't think it would be an issue as it wasn't America and when he worked here he had a valid J-1, has never overstayed, and has obeyed all American immigration laws, but I've gotten advice from "it's totally fine" to "you better elope now because they will reject the K-1 and your only hope is a CR-1."
3. Under physical addresses, do we include college dorms that we each respectively lived in?

4. I'm currently, and I have previously been self employed, I'm assuming I just write myself in for employer?

5. With being self employed, I have taken breaks to get more conventional jobs over the last few years. Do I write from year started- present, or do I make a different entry for each time I concluded working freelance?

Thanks!
