Hi all, I joined the other January filer thread earlier. I’m adjusting from F1 OPT.

Timeline: 12/27 package sent

01/09 NOA1

01/31 Bio appoment

02/10 Yellow Page Courtesy letter saying I used outdated I-693 medical form, but I can bring an up to date form to interview. It is not a REF.

I was wondering if there is any difference between F1 and K1 timeline?

They updated the date and EAD now takes around 2.5-5 months. They say lower number means 50% cases finished while higher number means 93% cases finished by that date. If you are lucky you should get the card anyday now ;)

This has around 95-110 days.

Most EAD are handled at NBC in Kentucky, this is the most updated website USCIS to give processing times: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

According to this, it takes between 2.5 and 5 months for the EAD; but from reading multiple threads about people that called USCIS, different experiences nowadays it is mostly 100-120 days. Some August filers waited for 200+ days.

I would say once you passed 100 days with no news then starting bugging them by calling and raising a Service Request, contacting the Congressman/Senator and Ombudsman.

Most SR done a 75 days stays unanswered.

Hey everyone!

I'm a January filer too - just got the REQUEST FOR APPLICANT TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW today. Interview date is April 24th at the Fairfax VA field office. Anybody else? Thought that this is unusually fast.

Adjusting from F1 STEM OPT based on marriage to US citizen.

My timeline:

I-485, 130, 765, 131 NOA January 22nd 2018.

Biometric appointment February 20th 2018.

Still no EAD and AP.

Update!!!

We got our interview notice in the mail today!! We have our interview on 5/1 in New Orleans! Can’t wait! We are really surprised because New Orleans is typically slow.

We we thought that something was happening with our application because a few days ago the online case numbers started showing as invalid! We were really concerned but I guess it was just a glitch once they started processing our application.

Congrats! Was your case under "ready to schedule interview" status before this? I'm considering moving the address to New Orleans because Houston is too slow. But also I was afraid that NO office would drag my case over a year. My hubby is working there on one year assignment and will move back next year...
