Hi guys,

Is anybody in this forum adjusting status from an active H1B ? I wonder if they take more time to issue an EAD for someone who is on a valid  H1B visa already ???

I'm H2B I honestly don't have a clue if it makes any difference but from what I've noticed non k-1 holders seen to have a longer wait time to me!

I had that thought for the past few months until the email this morning :P Think yours should be any days now, the timeline in VJ is normally within 150 days when I checked the recent two months. Hang on and it will come!

Yep. Application to GC in 4.5 months. I never got my EAD/AP Combo card as a half way step which sucked but no regrets now. My lawyer said that if you have an H-1B for some time, especially if you have done renewals, it's likely the background check is done, so the process is quicker. I got my GC two days before my I-94 expired (I had lost my H-1B job earlier that year). I've said this before in this forum - lots of people report that their EADs/interviews and stuff tends to adjudicated right before your prior legal status expires.

Unfortunately very likely you will, you moved from a faster area to a much more slower/populated area. Average math is NC office is 6-9 months, while Seattle is more like 15 months.
