Hi Fellow January Filers!

Looking at the timelines for Oct, Nov and Dec things have been moving at a decent pace, lets hope it continues! Here is our timeline -

B2 to AOS

Jan 12 - Package (485/130/131/765)

Jan 16 - Package delivered to Chicago

As of yet, no notifications at all and our checks have not been cashed. It is making my wife a little nervous that they are going to send the whole package back due to something we have overlooked. I went through AOS myself 10 years ago so I know how it can feel when waiting for USCIS to get moving!

Good luck everyone!

We sent our package on 1/20/2018 via USPS Priority Mail (certified) with an expected delivery date of 1/22/2018.  Everything was going smoothly when it stated:

January 22, 2018, 12:30 am
Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility
ELK GROVE VILLAGE IL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Unfortunately, since then it has been updated every day to:

January 24, 2018, 12:30 pm
In Transit to Destination
On its way to CHICAGO, IL 60680

Followed with:

January 25, 2018, 12:30 pm
In Transit to Destination
On its way to CHICAGO, IL 60680
The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available. The item is currently in transit to the destination as of January 25, 2018 at 12:30 pm. It is on its way to CHICAGO, IL 60680.

It looks as though we may need to join the February 2018 AOS Filers at this rate.  We didn't anticipate this!  I know this is a small issue, relatively speaking, however, as if this process isn't already stressful enough! :jest:.

Please wish us luck that it is delivered soon!

Thank you! :).

The tracking changed to 'Available for Pickup' on Friday and the package was finally picked up at 10:30pm last night.  We sent it certified mail and there's no signature but we are just grateful that it is now where it should be at last and the real waiting can begin!

Hey guys,

I took a chance and went in 6 days early for my biometrics in Atlanta and got it completed without an issue. I’d definitely recommend going close to the opening time as the guard will only let you join the line when all those with appointments are in the line.

I was definitely looking at the door and willing no new people would walk in! I was in around 8:15am and out by 9:45am - not bad!

Hope this helps someone. I would definitely check to see if your ASC allows you to do this.

Hi Everyone.

We finally sent our packet today! Jan 30th (I'm squeezing into the Jan filers- although it will probably be Feb when it gets there). It took months of organizing and gathering information to make our case. Exhausted and so happy it's out of my hands and in the hands of...fate? the whim of an immigration officer? the post office?

I'm hopeful and optimistic and excited and scared.

This thread will be very helpful I think.

Jan 30th: 485/485A/864/765/131

I-751 Sent: 8/10/2020

NOA Date: 8/24/2020

Case Transferred to NBC: 1/6/2021

Fingerprints Applied: 1/22/2021

I hear you!  Once we finally sent our packet in it was such a relief.  I kept having mental blocks even when completing the cover letters!

By what method did you send it?  Some people have had theirs delivered really quickly.  Ours was meant to take 2 days but took 9 and we are still awaiting the NOA1 (USPS Priority Mail).

So grateful for this forum and thread!

Good Luck!
