We received email from USCIS:

We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.

The online tracker says :

On January XX, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1EXXXXXXXXXXMSC, was completed.

I thought it meant that the expedition request was approved to be moved to faster line and they are working on my actual case. (BTW, if this is the case, how much longer to wait? Any experiences?)

The Tier 2 officer thought it meant that NBC is still deciding whether to expedite (move me to faster line).

Please, what is your thought?

The Tier 2 officer is correct.

Otherwise, it would have stated "Your request to expedite has been approved".

Hi, @JoJoJoJo

I'm on the same boat! Just received the same message as you, minutes ago, but by mail.

I was expecting mail as well initially when waiting for the fax number.

After 8 days when I was pretty sure something was wrong, called back and found that they emailed me the fax number to a wrong email address... So frustrating...

Anyway, officer asked to wait for 2~3 weeks after the faxing...

I might have to beg the employer to postpone the start date.... (initially I gave it four weeks for expedition to be on the safe side, apparently it is not enough for requesting the expedition)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Guys! My congressman's office sent me an email saying:

This case will be routed for expedited processing.  Your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.

Does this mean the expedition request has been approved and I will be put in the fast lane? Thank you!!!

Did you contact you congressman after receiving the initial notice in the post or before?

I received the same answer a couple of days ago and was unsure of what it actually meant too..

also, did you hear anything else since this last post?

Thanks

No, nothing. Called everyone I could, still nothing. (My potential employer has been waiting for about 1.5 months since they extended the job offer in writing. Today I got their ultimatum.)

That really sucks!!

I hope I don't get to that extreme!! This process is the worst!

What do Tier 2 say when you call and tell them the congressman got a notification that you will be expedited?

T2 officers say I have to wait. They are unsure whether my case is expedited or not.

But each time I can get something slightly different. But basically I have to wait.

Hi @AskerBRfromAZ Is your employer still calmly and patiently waiting?

Oh, I don't have a job offer. My EAD is just taking too long, since I've filed for it last April.
