Good Afternoon fellow Junies!

After reading last night here on VJ that things seemed to have sped up in the new year. I decided to call NVC today after work.  We got our NOA2 on Jan 10th so today was 21 days.  When I called I spoke to a very nice gentleman, after I gave the required info to him he said I have your case number right here!  I was shocked!  I took the number down and he told me the file was received on Fri Jan 26th.  He then said we don't do much with the fiancée visa but send it on to the Embassy. He said it should leave this Fri and said to call back to confirm that it was sent to the Embassy!

So I encourage all Junies that have the NOA2 and it been 2 weeks to call call call!  Did I tell you to call?....lol

I feel so very happy yet so terribly sad at the same time.  I'm super excited for my journey to be moving along quickly now...Yet so very sad when I know I was a June 27th filer and there are some early June that are still waiting for NOA2 or even being assigned a case worker.  Yes I mean John and Rose!  We all know their journey has been anything but pleasant.  John was the first to help me when I joined VJ.  He guided me through things I didn't know (CFO Filipino thing).  Please all pray to whatever God or thing you seek guidance from aka your love... the reason your here on this site for them and help keep them strong!

We are all in this together an we will get each June filer through this nasty journey!

Do not feel bad and get moving!  You have no control over this.  I am so happy for you.  It helps me realize that maybe...possibly...someday even we may possibly...maybe...get approved!

Go rock this thing and be with your loved one.  Don't look back.  I am so happy for you now go out there and get this done.  We will have our day.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

Hi guys, I saw many posts on the new NVC program.

The new program is called the pivit program and is completely electronic. They have to train their employees to handle it and that’s why NVC is taking pretty much full 2 weeks to assign case numbers.

our case number was assigned exactly 1 week and 5 days after NVC recieved.

i see mostly people are getting recieved and getting assigned case number at nvc same day but they seems like started taking time to send petitions to consulates..As case's assigned through new system are not being sent to consulates since 5-6 days.i do not see even single case nvc left or ready it says.

So, I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks - I had a death in the family and was out of town for a while, and of course right in the middle of everything else is when everything else began snowballing. NVC received our info on January 17th and Paul's medical is already scheduled for February 15th and he has his interview on the 22nd!! I was able to swing it and am flying to Sweden on the 19th for a couple of weeks, so I'll be able to go to Stockholm with him.

For everyone approaching NVC or already there - it definitely seems to be picking up in speed once you reach that point, so hang in there. I haven't been able to look back on posts I need to catch up on to see where everyone is at, but I hope everyone is doing well. I just got back in town this afternoon and wanted to take a break from bookings and reservations to touch base here. Oh, and my landlord decided to have my living room remodeled the week before I fly out, so that's a lot of fun.  We've been waiting for that to be handled for about as long as we've been waiting for this visa, LOL.

Hugs to all!

Håll ut, y'all.

That comes at the interview when they turn in the Police certificates.  Unless they are Interpol fugitives I doubt if the US is doing any really deep looks into the beneficiary at this point.  There is nothing in the I-129F that lists previous addresses or what other countries were visited.  I don't think they look to deeply until a red flag is seen at the interview.

Heck, you don't even need to supply a passport number until the interview.

Really? They aren’t doing at least a preliminary background check on the beneficiary? We we’re guessing that was the hold up on our end

Yes, they do background checks on both. I told my fiance that his much be at the bottom of the pile since his last name starts with a "Y". He was not amused.

They really have such limited information on the beneficiary. Name and birthdate. The passport isn’t even required. I cant imagine doing anything extensive with the information in the I-129f.
