Nah.  I think like $300.  It was worth it as I had to give them additional information and I also knew everything was filled out properly.

So far I think Rapidvisa is getting high marks.  They saved me from at least 2 RFEs before I even filed.  At least they put together a good package for review.  I am happy I used them.  I haven't heard of a single lawyer that really helped the process at all.  One issue with lawyers is that they get the mail from USCIS (so they can bill) and it generally doesn't go to the petitioner.  That can add to the already long delay.  It is also in the lawyers favor to get an RFE.  More work = More pay.

ahh i see. I received my NOA1 through mail first before they got the copy. maybe it depends on the lawyer.

BTW did we get any Approvals yesterday?

I'm sure there are great lawyers out there.  It just seems like they aren't involved with people here.  I good lawyer with the right experience can be helpful.  A bad lawyer just out to make money can turn this into a hellhole...

Most people only do this once so they are hoping the lawyer knows what he is doing.  I'm glad you found a good one.

Ahahha I'll have my interview in April-may. And if I don't get stuck obviously I'm pretty sure about this. (Cause even if they send my noa2 early I can't do it before then!)

because unless NVC level has a problem like before, everything after noa2 goes really smooth and quickly. So I am sincerely expecting end of march- early April noa2, mid April NVC and the rest comes with it.

i feel like we are at the bottleneck of the problem with spring-summer applications cause they were always the longer ones.

Damn you're optimistic! I'm hoping we get the same interview timeline and we filed 3 months before you.

I hope that you get the benefit of being a girl and not living in Turkey anymore since the one Turkish filer in May was also at the tail end of their month.  Sorry to be a Debbie downer.

Yeah, I'm estimating my interview for mid-May and definitely not before that lol.

It will be almost a full year since we would have applied.

Is it not the same with rapidvisa?

I know rapid visa helped me with not getting RFE's & they made filling out forms easy and was well worth their fee.

Well, nothing for us post-interview yet - still in AP.  Since the medical was done last Monday it should really get there soon (especially since they run labs on-site and they're literally meters away from the consulate)!  It was a long weekend this week in NZ and another one this weekend, so I hope they issue the visa today or tomorrow.

@vocaledge  I just got laughed at when I told them that someone I know got a case number assigned to them while they wer on the phone with the rep.  he laughed at me and told me they cant be pulled out of nowhere and that it will take 2 weeks. do you know the date your case was "received"?  or did the reps go from saying nothing recvd to heres your case #

I called at around 2pm EST, "not received"...... he called at about 7pm - "Yeah we have it - I'll assign the case number for you"..... I had also called the day before so 100% they did not have it before his call, and they gave him a case number there and then.

From this forum, I'm getting the feeling they are currently changing their system...... and that currently its pot luck if your case is on the old system or the new system....  This is JUST a feeling from hints I've gotten on this forum from people mentioning their person who answered the phone saying that their case is 'electronic' and a 'new system' and that they haven't yet been trained in it.....  I have no idea which mine is in, if thats even the case, but thats a possible explanation?

Hey guys ! As far as I’m concerned , it’s possible for beneficiary to call to NVC . The question is, is there a tool-free number , so I can do it from my country ?

Not sure anout the toll free number, i did however emailed them ( i am the beneficiary ) and they responded after 5-6 days with our Case number and Invoice number.
