Does anyone know if the USCIS sends RFEs through priority mail with a tracking number?
Or is it snail mail and we will probably get it a week from now?

Stupid questions I know...but so hard not to think of all the things that might be wrong with our application *sigh*

Thanks in advance for putting up with my psychosis.

Snailllllll

put some milk and cookies for he mail man...

If something was tooooo "wrong" it wouldn't be rfe.. it would be notice of explaining actions blah blah basically a noid :) or at least it would be request for initial evidence if they thought you forgot something really initial to the process. Don't you think?

THANKS BOO!

There is a difference between a request for initial evidence vs the request for Request for Additional Evidence?

Yep they have two different requests: initial (you forgot something that really should have been there) additional: addition to what you sent so we can make a decision.

and there noid: notice of intent to deny: this can also be an rfe, but more serious so it mean; we are thinking of denying it because for example we think you're not single! So in that case you try to prove that you're single. This is usually the status update for "notice explaining uscis actions"

you just got an rfe. Did you hear no-approval after an rfe? It does eat your time but you'll just reply to it :)

you know youre real and genuine so I see no problem!

Hey guys,

Savannah is going to ring Nvc today to see where they are at with our case and to see if they can hurry it along.. Question though should she simply ask them that or try and come at it from a different angle? Its been 10 days since NOA2 for us so I'm worried if we phone already asking where they are with it they will just tell us to wait 4 weeks and phone back.

Any thoughts?

Is it not the same with rapidvisa?

So far I think Rapidvisa is getting high marks.  They saved me from at least 2 RFEs before I even filed.  At least they put together a good package for review.  I am happy I used them.  I haven't heard of a single lawyer that really helped the process at all.  One issue with lawyers is that they get the mail from USCIS (so they can bill) and it generally doesn't go to the petitioner.  That can add to the already long delay.  It is also in the lawyers favor to get an RFE.  More work = More pay.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.
