That's a whooooooooooooole lot of info.

I'm so happy to see things being done. I just want to know what my RFE is for so I can get that in ASAP.

Also... Is there a pinned topic about the shutdown anywhere? It's been answered or responded to many, many times before.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYBODY!

Seems like it’s been raining approvals.

You all deserve it and I am so very happy for you!

Also, seems like NVC is picking up the pace!

Smile everybody that has been approved. You only have one quarter to go 😊

for the ones that haven’t, you guys rock. I admire your strength.

It’s going to happen. You don’t need government to hold your hand. It’s going to happen and all will be worth it! ♥️

There are topics in discussion places but what I realized, it all goes into a huge discussion with negative and positive. so here are what I find and what I believe.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/01/19/us/politics/government-shutdown-employee-effects.html?smid=pl-share

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/01/17/politics/what-happens-government-shutdown-explainer-congress-budget/index.html

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_agencies_affected_by_the_United_States_federal_government_shutdown_of_2013

What I understand;

USCIS wont get affected.

NVC is also funded mainly by fees and embassies wont get affected until their budgets run out.

They are budgeted every 2 years.

Visa issuance may get affected depending on the budget.

Labor related visas gets affected because of the affects on Department of Labor.

Shutdowns doesn't go for months and months. It is usually only 2 weeks or less.

And unless it goes waaay long it wont affect us suddenly.

On another note, my fiance who worked for the government before, explained as we don't get paid but not every single person stops going to work.

And it depends on the department. So I am not worried. but again... these are my personal opinions

*While writing this  a notice came from when I commented on government shutdown so here goes the vj topic:

We haven't heard a a peep from anyone.  I have a congressional inquiry and a Tier I inquiry.  No online or informed delivery notifications.  There are still a few of us June 6 filers in the same boat.  We just picked the wrong day to file.

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Same like ours! Plenty of cases received  dated June 12th that until now we heard nothing about our case. But as what the saying goes, "Patience is a virtue", but how about "time is gold"

We are hoping to get our approval soon. Next week will be another week to be hopeful!

Out of my excitement and such, I've said to him that I want to visit every state eventually.

For you California folk or those wanting to visit... I think this is a well needed/deserved trip 🍷🍷🍷🍷
