Jealous!! I think there are still a couple of things of things we could be doing, but he likes to play it on the safe side :P

He also hasn't been looking at any of the forums, so he is a lot more laid back about this than I am. I've been lurking here since October, didn't really have the courage to say much :3

You're gonna get married - courage shouldn't come into it, but why not go to the Japan part of the forum and take a look there at what they say about this :-)

I would have rather waited another 2 weeks and then got approved.

I HOPE YOU GET APPROVED SOON SO YOU AREN'T GOING THROUGH WHAT I AM!!

Isn't it interesting how the same thing can have such a different effect on people... (no offense intended here at all)...

My RFE brought me a huge relief, and for you it seems to be the opposite - I love watching human behavior - maybe its why I'm a reality TV addict.

I think you'll be fine. I don't think they will be looking for your birth certificate... they did not ask for mine.

Haha. Yes!

I remember how you relieved you were...almost excited about your RFE. lol. I won't lie. I was NOT jealous of you at that moment and very confused at your reaction.

I guess you're very much the optimist which is why everyone on here loves you so much!.

Me - I'm more the realist..almost pessimistic who can see all the pot holes in the US immigration system. I also know how sensitive this system can be.

Really??

If he forgot to check off a box or sign something, I will leave him for causing me such unnecessary pain LOL.

The odd thing is, that we went through a lawyer so we weren't expecting this at all.

LOL! Poor guy :) Lawyer went over your application so I would place full confidence in your application. It's probably going to be a very simple thing ... like "show me more pictures" or something like that... Don't worry.

Do we go by our NOA1 date or the received date? Received on 27th June, NOA1 on the 29th June. Just noticed the processing times have moved to the 27th June 2017 so I’m hoping I get something this week.

When you check your status online it should say "we received you case blah blah blah" on <insert date>.

That's the date they look for.

Stop bothering them and let them do their jobs! :P

My fiance and I Skyped last night and he doesn't want to call yet, because according to the NVC tracker sheet, not everyone around us has been in the lucky 14 - 20 days range. He'd rather wait. Pretty much the same with waiting for NOA2. He kept telling me to wait, that he'd take action like a week later.. but then BOOM, NOA2! We're at day 20 since NOA2, and I will still make him call sometime this week - or, if he's refusing and I'm becoming desperate, will just call myself!

Its absolutely pot luck on the person you get. Some aren't trained in how to assign a case number, thats all it is :-)

If they have it, its possible to have it assigned - mine was literally done the same day - she said they had recieved it that morning, and she would assign it a case number right away - fiance said he'd call back later, and she said "I'm doing it right now, here it is... do you have a pen?"
