Does anybody knows when they update cases online? Mine still says they received my application on June 23rd. Yet they sent me a RFE January 19 and they received my respnse January 24th yet no updates on my case status online. Is there like a specific day they update?

Sometimes they don't even update online. It says received even after you get your VISA and stuff lol.

It has happened to people here.

I have my NVC number and invoice number, but after having my fiance call I've been told that in order to do the medical we will need the actual physical paper from the NVC. ):

My fiance doesn't want to book anything until we have that paper, either. (We got the NVC number on Friday the 26th). There is currently a 2 week wait for the medical, a 10 day wait for the police records, and the interview says they only have a week wait. In order to book the interview we would need our DS-160 number.

She's wise, I'll do the same, unfortunately my case still "at nvc

What kind of evidence were they looking for?

I just got my RFE too.

Sucks.

Now I'm paranoid about what they are asking for lol.

I'm obviously a mess today.

What's the worst case scenario for an RFE??

Sorry, that's the only thing running through my mind right now.

Actually the worst case isn't RFE at all -- it's NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny). RFE generally means USCIS is ready to approve your case, once they get the additional information they are requesting. Mine was RFE'd for bad passport photos, and 2 weeks after sending in the good ones, we got our NOA2. Another good aspect to this is that USCIS has looked over your file, and once you send in the additional documents or answer their questions, you're all done! At least with this step, and it's generally the longest one by far.

Jealous!! I think there are still a couple of things of things we could be doing, but he likes to play it on the safe side :P

He also hasn't been looking at any of the forums, so he is a lot more laid back about this than I am. I've been lurking here since October, didn't really have the courage to say much :3

I would have rather waited another 2 weeks and then got approved.

I HOPE YOU GET APPROVED SOON SO YOU AREN'T GOING THROUGH WHAT I AM!!

It's funny how the word Paranoid has NOID at the end of it. :)
