What type of information are you using for “proof of domicile” for the petition?

I asked the others who had the interview already, they said to bring these as examples of proof of domicile.

State ID, health care or car insurance, mortgage, electricity bill, phone bill, storage bill, credit card statements, driver’s license, voters’ ID, bank accounts, gym membership, retirement fund statements, lease agreement and mutual fund statements.

For the Dutchies. Keep in mind that you'll have to have an international version of your birth certificate and your Dutch police certificate (Verklaring Omtrent Goed gedrag). You can start prepping this in advance. Keep in mind the VOG needs to be not older than 6 months upon your interview.

Cheers

Ok this is going to sound like a dumb question, but does this refer to the petitioner or the beneficiary? Or both?

I've got a good feeling this coming week for the remaining Junesters.

I feel that my case at NVC will progress the week starting the 5th. At least I'll enjoy the progress I expect in people getting their NOA2s this week, and remind everyone that the NVC time is getting FAST. Good news for you once you get NOA 2!

It falls under Form I-134. The consular will just check if the USC petitioner has domicile(working, living, paying US taxes) in the US and he has the documents to prove it (proof of domicile ex. Employment certificate or pay stubs from US employer with petitoner’s US address). If the petitioner is in the US then you don’t have to worry about this requirement.

It is a different story for a USC petitioner who is working and living abroad. The petitioner has to bring a lot of evidence as stated before to prove his domicile. Just click on the link.

I think i'm going to get it once i get my NOA2, or do you think i should get it before that? I may also need a German police certificate because i worked at a Dutch army base in germany. I have no idea if i need a German police certificate for that.

Just in case someone hasn't answered your question yet (and I can't find your post later when scrolling back) : I got mine done here in the Netherlands and after seeing the posts here, I looked up my pictures again and judged that the background may be a little too grey/orangey...

I then got new pictures for my new passport, and got new US sized ones as well (for medical and interview) and those had a whiter background. Brought them with me on my last trip in case we'd get an RFE, but nope! The first pic I'd included was apparently good enough cause we were approved without RFE :)

thank you for the info :) We got NOA2 on Friday with no RFEs so I guess the passport pics i sent were good enough :)
