After the approval can the applicant as well as the petitioner bug USCIS to get the NVC number?

Or just him? It's torture asking him to call lol.

I do believe that the beneficiary can "legally" contact NVC as well.

Purple,

The applicant can't bug USCIS but once NOA2 is sent you can bug NVC all you want!

I didn't see my family in 5 years so I'll go to Turkey for a month in June. And I want to take my bonus from my company! Because they give sept- march bonus only if you are there in June.

So it will work perfectly :) (hopefully)

I am praying that all it all works perfectly for you.  You deserve some blessings for helping so many of us even when we weren't helping ourselves.

They won't even talk to me when I call.

They need his verbal approval.

Probably I'm sane because my timeline is like this. So I just can't wait to quit my job and see my family :)

I would ALWAY look at Chicago Deep Dish pizza first.  I love Gino's East downtown.  Pizzeria Uno and Pizzeria Due are both great standbys.  If thin crust is more your taste, Pequods has a wood fired crispy thin crust that is unbelievably good.

Yes you can't go to Chicago and not try the pizza! lol

I have heard people talk of Gino's think we will hit that up the first night in town.

Great choice!  Depending on the day, I suggest the Superior Street location.  It was the original and opened in 1966.

I'm the beneficiary and I called NVC yesterday with no problems... they dont even ask until after they confirm they recieved your case (so I hear)... but they literally just asked me for my USCIS number and told me it wasn't there so we didn't even get that far.

Definitely no refusal to speak with me though :-)  Bug NVC all you like!

Speaking with NVC is much more pleasant than speaking with USCIS. I've called a few times and they were so kind.

On another note, does anyone know how long it takes for NVC to send the petition to the embassy, more specifically, Manila? My fiance' has already paid the visa fee and is doing his medical early next week. We are kinda hoping he can travel back with me in late February.

I have heard people say that is it only 4 or 5 days from approval.  Manila seems to be pretty quick.  Maybe they have a nice system since there are so many petitions from there.
