I got mine at Tesco too. The guy who took them seemed to know all about US visas and what I'd need so hopefully they'll be ok.

hopefully!! Does yours have a kind of greyish tinge to it also?

Well, today's the day I've officially lost my sh!t. After some horrific news about his sister's family shaking us all up earlier this month, this morning, at 5 am, I'm up talking with the other half about a lost in the family. His cousin died on Sunday. Feds found him on Wednesday. I should be out there to comfort and help everybody, but I'm still here. Useless. What good is that?!

This damn process shouldn't have taken this long!!! I should be out there now trying to help and do what I can to help, console, and support the family. I feel so damn useless!!! When the other half is sick, all I can do is talk to him over WhatsApp or shout at him over a video call when he's on a sugar crash. I can't reach out my hand and give him the physical help he needs. Now he needs a hug. I cannot give him that.

Instead, I'm sat at work, tears in my eyes, watching people complain about losing their money they are willingly throwing away.

His cousin... He was a lovely guy. I cannot help but think to myself that I could have helped more if I was there. We spoke of going out and taking photos to help him channel his mind, go for drinks again and teach him more hilarious English curse words... I'm not there. I'm too late.

I can't hold the people I care about. I can't make them a cup of tea and hand them a tissue.

I can't take being so fu*king far away from them all. It's been nearly a year since I was hugged. Held a hand. Felt human.

I'm sorry to rant. I'm hurt. I'm broken.

I'm done struggling. I need to be with my family. Like, last month! 😢

sorry for your loses, he understands this process.  I went through the same thing, yes it would be nice to have the loves of our lives with us during those times. we also understand the hardships.   Hang in there give as much support it helps even from a distance.

@John & Rose  John Quick and hopefully easy question my fiancee's POE is going to be Chicago what are some good restaurants up there that are unique to Chicago?

Thanks!

Pizza is going to be unique here. Also Italian beef and Italian sausage together on a sandwich.  We call them a “combo”. I guess they are rare in the rest of the country.

In Chicago itself I would do Pizzaria Uno or Gino’s East. For a non-traditional Chicago pie Peqouds is amazing!  We have very good ethnic areas and there is even a Jolibee here. Let me know what kind of food and I will get you good directions.

I’m torn. If I do that it will impact my trip to pick them up and how much time I can spend getting them acclimated to Chicago. I really miss them though. Today is the anniversary of our decision to actually “date” each other. When we went from friends to lovers.

Happy Anniversary to you and Pretty Rose🌹!💖💖💖🍾🥂

I'm back from OSHA training!  Day 234 and my VJ timeline has stuck at December 25th for a few days now.  Maybe there will be a VJ Christmas miracle!

Happy Friday everyone.  Dont stress this.  Enjoy the weekend.  USCIS will still be there again next week working away.

Is it just me or has there been a big slow down with the online updates? There is so much left to June, and yet I'm barely seeing movement.

Or maybe it's cause they aren't working on the first half of June anymore and it's just totally slowed down lol.

That which does not kill us makes us stronger!  We are ALL going to be very strong.  Hang in there Martin.  As a "Supernatural" side note, I actually went to school and sang in the choir with the lead singer of Kansas...

Yes there are less online updates (especially approvals) we are estimating way less is left than it appears.

Walsh, Elefante, or Platt  either way it is good to know you can sing.   I cannot keep a tone LOL

Decisions are hard wanting to be with our loved ones but then vacation schedules, money, and other things constrict us.   One thing I have learned in my decades on this spinning globe is nothing can replace time and only real regrets, if any, (is not spending more time with loved ones)
