I overnighted. I was approved in LESS than a week.. I think they got my info on a Thurs or Fri.... and my physical notification says the following Wednesday... although I was notified Thursday and thought it was thurs that I was approved... however, a week is still a week. and that's QUICK.  my RFE was for proof of meeting eachother within 2 years of filing.

Did they just pick a bunch of files up and say, "errrrm, yeah. We'll ask this pile how they met again!"?

Seems we all got the same thing. Good to know the turn around is quick. My poor sausage is really p!ssed off as we included all of this already. That and he didn't tick a box that they could just phone for. Saves a hell of a lot of time and paper, right? #SaveTheTrees

Still... WOOT.

Went to the field office today...nothing earth shattering but said that the background checks were being done and I should hear something soon. My fiancé was denied entry at the border last time he tried to visit as they were suspecting he wouldn’t return to Canada. They did not feel this would be an issue because he didn’t try to do anything illegal...but of course this has been in the back of my mind. Fingers crossed! B-)

I went to my InfoPass appointment the Los Angeles field office today and it was a total waste. Spoke to a T1 and a supervisor and got nothing but the 'you're within processing times' speech. Must really vary from office to office.

That stinks! But of course who knows, they may have just been giving me “lip service” with what they told me...and of course ended in the usual speech of “you can submit an inquiry if you don’t hear something in 30 days”

Haha yup got the same. They were also definitely having IT consultants supervise everyone's work. Within my interactions with 3 people, 2 of them needed the consultant to note down issues with their system. :dead:

Follow up from my last post on the previous thread, we actually plan on sticking to the schedule now I just come back to the U.K from being in Massachusetts for 3 months so finding it very hard at the moment. I’m gonna be hopefully starting a new job in the next 3 weeks my income is very low at the moment especially after being away for 3 months so my question is do I need to prove my income down the line of the process or is that what the U.S citizen has to do? Any day now we should be gettin NOA2 or RFE I just hope for something but could anyone provide me in with a link or more information on what we should be doing as of right now or after we hear about our case because to be honest all we have done is file the petition other than that we have done nothing but wait until we get NOA2. Will appreciate all your help.

I will pay whatever they want. This is really getting to me today. I think I will stay away until I get into a more positive mood. They say a minimum of 30 days before I hear anything. That will be day 261.

I know now it is their generic response but it still upsets me.

John,

it is a generic response....the only fact in the response is that it hasn't been assigned.   The 30 or 45 day bit is just to place an interval on the next time you prod the congressman.

The case could be assigned tomorrow or any other day in the future.

Yes, you have been waiting a ridiculous amount of time and it is extremely frustrating, i know.

It hasn't been assigned yet....at least you know it isn't lost, or stuck someplace or failing for some reason.

on a lighter note....still not assigned?  hmmm, must still be within normal processing time.  :)

(i hope that made you crack a tiny smile)

hang in there....it sucks...but, nothing worth a damn is easy. (you know this)

USC has to prove income, not you.  You won't be allowed to work and will have to find a job out there, and so your current/past income is of no significance.  Their income is to show that if you don't succeed to find a job, they can adequately support you and avoid you claiming any kind of welfare.

I thought that’s how it was. Do you remember the minimum the USC has to be making in a year again I know it has to be above some sort of line?
