Are we classed as a non-immigrant for the ds-160?

Technically, yes.  The DS-160 is for non-immigrants, and it's the one you should use.  However, you have to choose 'immigrant visa' when you're looking up your case number in the CEAC tracker.

Hey, first of all congrats on getting moved to a THIRD thread! I don't think even the May filers got that far.    I was just checking to see if a midday scan had been done over here. Our midday scan in the July thread showed no activity due to no online updating and I was wondering if that was a general thing or just for July.

Hey everyone!

First time poster here! I just wanted to post here to let you all know that we just got our NOA2 and our petition was was approved! We just got the mail (on January 19th, 2018) and it said it was approved on January 10th, 2018. Our NOA1 was on June 12th, 2017.

It's been a long road and we still have a long way to go but we're so glad to finally have something to hold on to.

Anyone has an idea of what the next steps are? From what I understand we have to wait until we get a notice that our petition has been sent to the NVC or that we can call them. How much longer are we looking at before we get our interview?

To everyone still waiting for their approval, keep your heads up and don't let it drag you down. It'll happen any time now!!

Add yourself to the January NVC tracker

appears NVC processing is picking up a little speed....

Every single day. Waited 1hr50min to speak to a level 2 at USCIS only to be told they would call back. They did call back an hour later and my fiance pretty much spilled his guts on the phone to the lady, explained our situation and the waiting and how much we want to be together and the delay getting interviews at the Auckland embassy. And how the form says 4 weeks but it's been longer. The lady said it was strange that our case had not been sent yet and that she would take care of it and then she sent it. I highly suggest everyone speaks to a tier 2 if it's been over 30 days of waiting.

I don’t know if COs will work. I think the embassies go to only essential personnel.  That is the one rough spot.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

I can’t imagine a shutdown lasting that long. You will be fine and maybe the COs will be nice and rested!  Keep faith. Everything will work out.
