I don't understand how some September people are getting approved while some June are still waiting. That doesn't seem fair to June filers.

There are still two VJ May filers on site here waiting as well.  They've heard absolutely nothing.

God, I know. I feel so very, very deeply for everyone still mired in these nightmarish delays.

Trina made a post about it in the May filers thread, expressing her growing sense of hopelessness and even going so far as to wonder whether she's doing the right thing for her fiance, as she's a few years older than he is, and he wants to have children soon.

Her post broke my heart.  Before we got our NOA2, I was feeling very hopeless. Even afterwards, as the weeks stretched on waiting for our case to arrive at the NVC (it took six weeks) and then more waiting for a case number, waiting for the embassy to receive, waiting for an interview....it just seemed like it would never happen and so I can SO VERY WELL relate to feelings of despair and hopelessness, even though I'm counting down to my interview now and I could be going home permanently with my fiance as soon as a couple of weeks. God willing! After nine and half months!

But I'll never forget that taste of despair, second-guessing, ceaseless frustration and increasing hopelessness. Yes the suns comes out eventually and we all move on, but my heart is forever with everyone who suffers the way we've all suffered here.

Bless you!  That was so very well stated. I pray that all of our journeys end soon so we can all get on with our lives again!

Very well stated indeed!

I will say one thing. I'll never to the day I die forget this process and what everyone has to go through.

My fiancé entered through Houston on Thursday, which was relatively uneventful except for the CBP officer seeing his visa and yelling "OOH, HE GON' SEAL THE DEAL!" :P  Had to go to secondary inspection but said it was quick.  Got our marriage license yesterday with no issues, and his I-94 was up instantly after entry so we can do the SSN whenever.  Getting married on Monday so I think we'll file AOS on Tuesday!  No sense waiting around, we figure.

Highlights so far have been his reunion with Mexican food and Minnesota beer, plus his sheer excitement seeing snow on the ground, ha!

Hahahahaha.  I am cracking up at the CBP officer.  Did he really say that?  That's amazing.  Congrats on POE!!!! I'm stoked to hear that all went well.  I can't even believe it.  Congrats!!! Now you're on to the AOS step?  Hopefully that goes smoothly as well.  Next thing you know he'll be all green carded up!

No kidding. And all I was doing was saying that they needed to over front load their petition because of their situation. If you look I always say “over front load”. I’m talking about people sending bankers boxes. One had 1300 pages of texts. Will that really help?  I still believe that is too much. If I need 1300 pages of texts to prove the relationship is real than you may have other problems. Front loading and over front loading are different. I got spanked!!!  At this point you only need to meet one time in 2 years. That is the rule. 1300 pages of texts doesn’t support a meeting at all.

I made the same mistake in this thread. For whatever reason when I read front loading I’ve assumed overloading was the meaning. It’s the word load, as when you think of loading something up you may think of large quantities.

Thankfully, my error was not captured as the worst in internet history.

I went to visit my fiancé and he decided to give the border a try today (after waiting 7 months since his last rejection!) and he got through!!! It’s no NOA2, but he’ll be here for a few weeks and that’s great news! :jest:

That is fantastic. Spend a few weeks together, NOA2 arrive when you are together, make arrangements together, make babies

I have been quietly looking at others who have had RFEs. It does seem like approval is generally within 10 days of them receiving a satisfactory response. I was just trying to be cautiously optimistic. I’ve waited so long that I still can’t imagine an approval!

It’s been 26 days since they received my RFE response and still no word from them... last time I called they said up to 60 days...I am just so tired of waiting, it was so hard to say goodbye to Atti tonight even though I knew it was 2 am for him In Hungary. We had spoken of rescuing a third dog once he got here but life continues on and on, so the puppy wound up in our lives a couple of days ago, and Atti and I and our plans for our life together are still in limbo😔
