Just heard back from my congressman. My case is still pending and has not yet been assigned to an adjudicator. Day 231. They want me to wait 30 to 45 days and try again.

Bullsh1t

They are doing this so they can make a case to double the filing fee.

07/27/17 - K1 packet sent at the end of day.

07/31/17 - NOA1

03/22/18 - NOA2

08/28/18 - expected date for medical completion - Sputum test was needed

09/22/18 - anticipated interview date

I will pay whatever they want. This is really getting to me today. I think I will stay away until I get into a more positive mood. They say a minimum of 30 days before I hear anything. That will be day 261.

I know now it is their generic response but it still upsets me.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

I am so sorry to hear your news, I think it is all our greatest worry to be in your position,  231 days is crazy, it really is. Maybe, just maybe your congressman asking might just make a difference......... I hope so.

I'm sorry to see your case taking this long. You are one of the main reasons I stayed sane and positive during all this visa thing. I really hope from the bottom of my heart that you will hear something positive soon, you deserve it. Don't give up. Think of how amazing it would be when rose and the kids will move in, a Continuous happiness every day. Praying for you.

I think this speaks for a lot of us here (certainly for me, except for the praying). You are so close @John & Rose!

For those who have gotten RFE and have been approved... How long does it take in average to hear back?

I overnighted. I was approved in LESS than a week.. I think they got my info on a Thurs or Fri.... and my physical notification says the following Wednesday... although I was notified Thursday and thought it was thurs that I was approved... however, a week is still a week. and that's QUICK.  my RFE was for proof of meeting eachother within 2 years of filing.
